Acceptance and service

By using Power Totals, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the site or submit information. Power Totals may update or discontinue site features and may revise these terms by publishing an updated date.

Installer directory

Directory listings summarize information found in the cited public sources or submitted through a review process. A listing is not an endorsement, guarantee, license verification, price quote, availability statement, or confirmation that a contractor is qualified for a particular project. Users must independently verify current identity, license status and scope, insurance, permits, references, equipment requirements, contract terms, and project suitability. A claim request does not transfer ownership of public facts or guarantee that a requested update will be accepted.

Google Maps content

Google Maps links and any live Google rating or review component are provided for independent checking. That content is supplied and ordered by Google, can change without notice, and is not verified or endorsed by PowerTotals. Use of Google Maps features is also subject to the Google Maps/Google Earth Additional Terms of Service and the Google Terms of Service.

Estimates and professional verification

All calculator results, tables, examples, financial scenarios, diagrams, and reference material are estimates and general educational information only. They are not engineering, electrical-contracting, inspection, legal, financial, tax, investment, safety, permit, or code-compliance advice.

Before acting, users must verify inputs, outputs, units, equipment specifications, manufacturer instructions, supplier quotations, adopted electrical codes, local amendments, utility requirements, and authority-having-jurisdiction requirements with a qualified professional or supplier. Power Totals does not approve a design or installation.

Saved project requests

When a user submits a project request, the user asks Power Totals to store the submitted name, email, phone, postal code, and project details and to contact the user about that request. Installer matching is not currently active, and saved requests are not transmitted or sold to installers.

If matching with third-party service providers is introduced, the request form and privacy policy will identify the recipient before information is shared. These terms do not replace the specific consent shown beside the submission control.

Advertising and affiliate relationships

The site may display advertisements and sponsored or affiliate links. Power Totals may receive compensation from a lead, advertisement, click, referral, or completed transaction. Advertising and affiliate relationships do not alter calculator formulas or outputs. Third-party offers, products, providers, and destination sites are governed by their own terms.

User responsibilities

Users must provide information they are authorized to provide, must not misuse the site or interfere with its operation, and must not use results as the sole basis for work that could cause injury, fire, property damage, financial loss, service interruption, or legal non-compliance.

No warranties

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Power Totals and its content are provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of accuracy, completeness, currency, availability, merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, or a particular project outcome. No warranty is made that an estimate will match a professional design, supplier quote, utility bill, financing offer, inspection, or installed-system performance.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Power Totals and its operators, contributors, and service providers will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages; loss of profits, savings, data, use, or opportunity; property damage; personal injury; or costs arising from reliance on the site, inability to use it, third-party contact, or third-party products and services. Where liability cannot lawfully be excluded, it is limited to the minimum amount permitted by applicable law.

Intellectual property and independence

Power Totals does not reproduce protected NEC or CEC tables or text and is independent of NFPA and CSA Group. Third-party names, standards, products, and links identify sources or destinations and do not imply endorsement or affiliation. Site content may not be republished in bulk or presented as another party's calculator service without permission.

Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of Quebec, Canada, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Disputes are subject to the competent courts of Quebec except where mandatory consumer law requires otherwise.

Severability and contact

If a provision is unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue to the extent permitted by law. Questions about these terms can be submitted through the contact page.
